ShipFast alternative: ShipAny vs ShipFast for AI SaaS
Looking for a ShipFast alternative? A side-by-side comparison of ShipAny and ShipFast — frameworks, payments, credits, i18n, admin, AI templates and pricing.
Last updated: Oct 8, 2026
ShipFast is a popular Next.js boilerplate for launching a SaaS quickly. ShipAny is a SaaS engine focused on AI products: it pre-wires usage-based credits, AI task tracking, multi-provider payments, i18n and a full admin panel, and comes in several framework editions plus ready-made AI app templates.
Both are good starting points — they're built for different products. ShipFast details below come from its public website as of October 2026; check shipfa.st for the latest.

Compare the total purchase cost
ShipAny offers individual template purchase options and a Premium membership with member pricing. A membership purchase and a template purchase are different items: compare the total for the templates you actually need on the pricing page and template detail page.
ShipFast lists separate starter packages. Compare the current package contents and checkout price on its official website, rather than assuming every package includes the same code or course. Prices and promotions can change.
When ShipFast is the better fit
- You want a lean Next.js starter and plan to build most product logic yourself.
- You prefer MongoDB, or want to stay in plain JavaScript.
- Its large maker community and the bundled CodeFast course matter to you.
When ShipAny is the better fit
- You're building an AI product that charges per generation: credits, AI task tracking and refunds on failed tasks are already done.
- You need more than Stripe — Creem as a merchant of record, or native Alipay / WeChat Pay for customers in China.
- You need i18n and an admin panel on day one.
- You want a head start on the product itself: start from an image generator, video generator or agent template instead of an empty app.
- You want to choose your stack — Next.js, TanStack Start or Vite — and deploy to Cloudflare Workers if you like.
Switching from ShipFast
There's no automatic migration — the two use different databases and auth libraries. The practical path is to start a new project from a ShipAny template, move your landing-page content and product-specific code over, and re-create your plans in ShipAny's pricing config. Existing Stripe customers and subscriptions stay in your Stripe account, but the new application must map those customer IDs to its users and reconcile subscription records and webhooks. Test that migration before sending existing customers to the new app.
Questions when choosing a ShipFast alternative
Can I keep Next.js?
Yes. ShipAny Next is the Next.js edition; choosing ShipAny does not require adopting TanStack Start. The starter-kit guide explains the framework options.
Which edition fits a metered AI product?
Review the AI SaaS guide for the task and credit lifecycle. If a ready-made image or video workflow fits, compare that application template with building the interface on a framework starter.
What should I verify before buying?
Open each product's live preview, read its license, and check the provider integrations your product requires. The comparison is based on public descriptions reviewed on October 8, 2026; a feature not listed publicly may still be possible to implement. Confirm such requirements with the vendor.
