Resend integration: transactional email for SaaS
Send verification, password-reset and product emails from a ShipAny app with Resend — verify your domain, add an API key and a sender address in the admin panel.
Last updated: Oct 8, 2026
Resend is ShipAny's default email provider. Once it's configured, email verification and password reset switch on automatically, and you can send your own product emails through the same API.
What ShipAny handles
- Verification emails rendered from a React email template, sent when email verification is enabled.
- Password-reset emails — the reset option only appears to users once an email provider is configured, so users never hit a dead end.
- A provider switch: choose Resend or Cloudflare Email under Settings → Email → General without changing code.
Setup
- Create a Resend account and add a sending domain under Domains — a subdomain such as
mail.your-domain.comworks well. - Add the DNS records Resend shows you and wait until the domain is verified.
- Under API Keys, create a key with sending access.
- In ShipAny, open Admin → Settings → Email, choose Resend as the provider, paste the API key, and set the sender email on your verified domain. Include a display name if you like:
Acme <no-reply@mail.your-domain.com>. - Sign up with a new account (with verification enabled) to confirm emails arrive.
Tips
- The sender must be on a verified domain, or Resend rejects the message.
- Use a subdomain for sending to keep your main domain's reputation separate from transactional mail.
- Check the spam folder on your first test — a new domain needs a little time to build reputation.
